Welcome to our Blog. It has been created to share our journeys aboard Faem, our Beneteau First 47.7. The name Faem comes from two sources one the poem “Sir Patrick Spens” by Robbie Burns and is best spoke aloud with a deep Scottish brogue.
“To Noroway, to Noroway,
To Noroway oer the faem,
The Kings daughter of Noroway
‘T is thou maun bring her haeme”
It is also the name my Mother suggested for the L36 built by my Father in the early 1960‘s.
Pictured above is our new Faem and a photo of Faem I found, quite by random, at the UBC Golf Course taken at the RVCY Sailpast by Bill Cunningham
